| 1999 - Present | San Jose Japantown History Book Project Writer, researcher and photographer of a book project on the history of one of the three surviving Japantowns in the United States. |
| 2008 - 2009 | MACLA Family Portraits Project Photographed over 120 families and individuals in downtown San Jose. The project provided low-income families with the opportunity to have professional portraits for no cost. The photos were used in three murals displayed throughout the community. Project was for MACLA gallery through a Ford Foundation grant. |
