Projects include photography for ads, brochures, books, magazines and publicity.

1982 - Present Exhibiting Artist
Worked on art projects using photography and multimedia to explore cultural and historic issues. Exhibited work in museums and galleries throughout the United States, Mexico and Germany.
1996 - 2000 Internet Topic Manager GO Networks (formerly Infoseek)
Managed topics for an Internet directory. Performed usability tests and incorporated feedback into product. Also wrote and updated internal documents.
1977 - 1980 Writer / Cinematographer Loral (formerly Ford Aerospace)
Wrote marketing brochures, data sheets, manuals, and scripts for marketing and documentary films. Worked on the production of 16mm films and videos.

1998 - 2001 Foothill College Los Altos Hills, California. Studies in HTML, Web design, and interactive media, including Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Director and Flash.


Projects
1999 - Present San Jose Japantown History Book Project Writer, researcher and photographer of a book project on the history of one of the three surviving Japantowns in the United States.
2008 - 2009 MACLA Family Portraits Project Photographed over 120 families and individuals in downtown San Jose. The project provided low-income families with the opportunity to have professional portraits for no cost. The photos were used in three murals displayed throughout the community. Project was for MACLA gallery through a Ford Foundation grant.
2004 Day of the Dead: When Two Worlds Meet Coauthored with anthropologist Shawn Haley and published by Berghahn Books, New York, NY.
1999 Collectible G.I. Joe Photographed for all images for the book written by Derryl DePriest and published by Running Press, Philadelphia, PA.
1997 Cuentos de el Día de los Muertos A bilingual book of Mexcian folktales coauthored with Salvador Gonzalez.
